Under the Mango Tree wanted to help the orphans this past Christmas time and the best way to do this was agreed to be with parcels of food. We have received some wonderful photographs showing the presentation of these parcels by the lovely staff.

The International Representative of the Inner Wheel Club of Heswall, Mrs Marjorie Griffiths reports a fantastic February Fund Raising event for Under the Mango Tree with over £700 raised. That is amazing and the children of Timboni say thank you. (Click to view)

Hello everyone

To support the latest initiative on fundraising for new toilets at the school please see the link below for two .pdf files; a Toilets quiz with 50 questions and another file for the front and back cover if you would lile to print them out and use it in your club/group. 

It is with great sadness that we report the untimely death of Mr Elvis Makonde, younger brother of Rev Charles Makonde. Elvis leaves two daughters, his wife Rebecca having died at a young age just two years ago.
Elvis was Chairman of the Timboni School Development and Feeding committee and as such was our main point of contact for the school projects. His contribution of time and talents to the school and his support for Under The Mango Tree will be greatly missed.

December Newsletter 2018

Despite a hefty budget to create a flat playing field at Timboni School, the project stopped when the money ran out due to extra costs incurred on heavy rock moving equipment. The school is based on a disused quarry and the ground is very rough.
